2025 Charity Concert for the OCRM Homeless Shelter
On May 31, 2025, the Global Mission Chamber Orchestra (GMCO) held its final concert of the season at the Orange County Rescue Mission (OCRM) as part of its ongoing commitment to community outreach through music. In addition to the performance, GMCO donated $2,000 to support OCRM’s efforts in providing essential services to individuals experiencing homelessness. After the concert, orchestra members distributed snacks and took time to connect with residents. Many attendees expressed their appreciation, sharing that the live music brought comfort and joy. The event served as a reminder of music’s ability to uplift, inspire, and foster connection within the community.This event reflected GMCO’s belief that music is not only a form of artistic expression, but also a powerful way to build bridges and bring hope to those in need.
2025 Benefit Concert for the LA Wildfire Victims and Firefighters
On February 8, 2025, the GMCO held a Benefit Concert to support victims of the devastating Los Angeles wildfires and to honor the brave firefighters who risked their lives on the front lines. The event raised $8,000 through donations and fundraising efforts. A significant portion was dedicated to helping Shu Tran, a wildfire survivor who lost her home in the disaster. In addition, GMCO contributed $2,000 to the local fire station in appreciation of their heroic service and continued protection of the community. The concert was conducted by Andrew Park and featured distinguished guest artists Solnamu Song, Prof. Dmitry Rachmanov, pianist Lyena Antonich, and pianist-singer Shu Tran, whose personal story added powerful emotional depth to the performance.
2024 Holiday Concert for Musicians with Disabilities
On December 14, 2024, GMCO and the KAMA Choir held a holiday concert at Anaheim United Methodist Church. The event was organized to support musicians with disabilities and to promote inclusive music programs. The program featured performances by pianist Chunae Choi and worship leader Rachael Bae, both musicians with disabilities. Funds raised from the event were allocated to support their ongoing musical development and participation in future performance opportunities. As part of the evening, GMCO conducted a soap fundraising campaign, raising a total of $3,636. All funds were donated in support of musicians with disabilities, including Chunae Choi and Rachael Bae. The concert served as both a seasonal gathering and a platform to raise awareness and support for accessibility and inclusion in the arts.
Past Events
GMCO hosted a joint concert with the Hana Choir and True Worshippers, creating an opportunity to support musicians with disabilities. Through the sale of handmade soaps, the orchestra raised $2,000.
CTS and Kama Choir raised $2,580 to support Grace Land, an organization that provides music education for people with disabilities.
In collaboration with Songsolnamoo, a Korean flautist, the CTS raised $2,450 to provide food, medicine, and other necessities for Ukrainian refugees.
Nursing Home
Once a month, GMCO String Ensemble performs at the Bell Christian nursing home or Sun Mar Nursing Center. Performing for the elderly and spreading joy through music will resume when safety precautions allow.
Although COVID-19 may have affected our ability to play in person, CTS has managed to surpass these obstacles and still bring musical joy to the ears of many.
Each Christmas season, CTS presents weeks of preparation in a professionally recorded broadcast for thousands of listeners.
Each year, CTS joins the "Hope Concert," a benefit event hosted by CTS America to support different groups in need — including people with disabilities, the sick, and underserved communities.
CTS went busking at the Source Mall in Buena Park, to play for whoever is shopping or eating there. Through busking, we are sharing the joy of God and music to those going about their daily lives.
CTS participated in the special live broadcast "CTS Week" which is a fundraiser for missionaries who have been struggling financially during this pandemic.
