GMCO String Ensemble won First Place in an International Chamber Music Competition.
2026 Charity Concert for the OCRM Homeless Shelter
On May 16, 2026, the Global Mission Chamber Orchestra (GMCO) held its final concert of the season at the Orange County Rescue Mission (OCRM) as part of its ongoing commitment to community outreach through music. In addition to the performance, GMCO donated $1,000 to support OCRM’s efforts in providing essential services to individuals experiencing homelessness. After the concert, orchestra members distributed snacks and took time to connect with residents. Many attendees expressed their appreciation, sharing that the live music brought comfort and joy. The event served as a reminder of music’s ability to uplift, inspire, and foster connection within the community.This event reflected GMCO’s belief that music is not only a form of artistic expression, but also a powerful way to build bridges and bring hope to those in need.
2025 Concert with Biola University Symphony Orchestra
On April 11, 2026, the Global Mission Chamber Orchestra (GMCO) collaborated with the Biola Symphony Orchestra for a special concert at Biola University’s Crowell Music Building, part of the 2025–2026 Conservatory of Music Concert Series. Conducted by Mr. Yoon Jae Park and Dr. Andrew Park, the performance featured distinguished guest violist Ken Aiso, whose artistry added depth and brilliance to the evening. The concert highlighted GMCO’s ongoing commitment to community engagement, showcasing how music can inspire, uplift, and connect audiences across all ages. By bringing together accomplished musicians, guest artists, and the wider community, GMCO continues to demonstrate that orchestral music is not only a form of artistic expression but also a powerful vehicle for outreach, joy, and shared human experience.
2025 Holiday Concert
On Saturday, December 20, 2025, the Global Mission Chamber Orchestra (GMCO), in collaboration with the Orange County Choral Academy, presented their highly anticipated holiday concert Venite Adoremus at Irvine Baptist Church. The concert brought together musicians and community members to celebrate the joy and spirit of the Christmas season through uplifting and beautifully performed seasonal music. Beyond the music itself, GMCO demonstrated its strong commitment to community service by donating $2,000 to a local senior center, supporting seniors and helping provide resources, comfort, and joy during the holidays. This event exemplified GMCO’s mission of using music not only as an art form but also as a powerful tool for connection, outreach, and service. By engaging directly with the community and contributing to local initiatives, GMCO continues to foster hope, strengthen bonds, and make a meaningful difference in people’s lives, reminding everyone of the profound ways music can inspire and uplift.
Past Events
On May 31, 2025, GMCO’s final season concert at OCRM donated $2,000, shared music and snacks, uplifting homeless residents and fostering community connection and hope.
On February 8, 2025, GMCO’s Benefit Concert raised $8,000 for wildfire victims, honoring firefighters, supporting Shu Tran, and featuring Andrew Park, Solnamu Song, and guest artists.
GMCO and KAMA Choir’s December 14 concert supported musicians with disabilities, featuring Chunae Choi and Rachael Bae, raising $3,636 for inclusive music programs.
GMCO hosted a joint concert with the Hana Choir and True Worshippers, creating an opportunity to support musicians with disabilities. Through the sale of handmade soaps, the orchestra raised $2,000.
CTS and Kama Choir raised $2,580 to support Grace Land, an organization that provides music education for people with disabilities.
In collaboration with Songsolnamoo, a Korean flautist, the CTS raised $2,450 to provide food, medicine, and other necessities for Ukrainian refugees.
Nursing Home
Once a month, GMCO String Ensemble performs at the Bell Christian nursing home or Sun Mar Nursing Center. Performing for the elderly and spreading joy through music will resume when safety precautions allow.
Although COVID-19 may have affected our ability to play in person, CTS has managed to surpass these obstacles and still bring musical joy to the ears of many.
Each Christmas season, CTS presents weeks of preparation in a professionally recorded broadcast for thousands of listeners.
Each year, CTS joins the "Hope Concert," a benefit event hosted by CTS America to support different groups in need — including people with disabilities, the sick, and underserved communities.
CTS went busking at the Source Mall in Buena Park, to play for whoever is shopping or eating there. Through busking, we are sharing the joy of God and music to those going about their daily lives.
CTS participated in the special live broadcast "CTS Week" which is a fundraiser for missionaries who have been struggling financially during this pandemic.
