About GMCO

Since 2009, the Global Mission Chamber Orchestra (GMCO), formerly known as CTS, has nurtured talented young musicians while making a positive impact in the community. As part of the International Association of Professional Music Teachers (IAPMT), GMCO is committed to both musical excellence and its Christian mission of service.

GMCO’s members, ages 13-18, audition after years of private training to join this dedicated ensemble. Each Saturday evening in Irvine, they rehearse under the direction of Dr. Andrew Park, a Pacific University professor who has led the orchestra for over 16 years.

Beyond performing concerts, GMCO brings music to nursing homes and organizations supporting the homeless to comfort and uplift those in need. Students’ volunteer efforts are recognized with the prestigious Presidential Service Award.

With a focus on both artistry and compassion, GMCO continues to inspire young musicians to use their talents to serve others and bring joy to the community.
